Profile
Dan joined Smith Sovik in 2006. A Cazenovia native, Dan worked for several years downstate first as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the New York City Law Department, where he defended City employees, including members of the NYPD and the Department of Corrections in civil rights actions, defended the City in civil suits, and prosecuted juvenile criminal matters. Later, he was a litigation associate in several large firms in New York City and White Plains, and handled general negligence, medical malpractice and complex tort litigation.
At Smith Sovik, Dan's practice focuses on the defense of medical and professional malpractice claims as well as motor vehicle accidents, Labor Law, premises liability, products liability and general negligence claims.
